OSHKOSH, WI: A new Renew Fuel Station began operations on July 17, 2008 in Oshkosh 1485 South Park Avenue. The unattended fuel station features fuels for all gasoline vehicles including, Unleaded Plus for use in all gasoline vehicles as well as E85 and E20 (with 85% and 20% ethanol respectively) for flexible fuel vehicles.
The station is the second location for Renew in the Oshkosh area. Renew opened their first Oshkosh station on Highway 76 and Highway 41 in the fall of 2005. “Ever since the day we opened our location on Highway 76 & 41 outside of Oshkosh, we’ve had numerous requests from customers who were driving all the way from the south side of Oshkosh for a location closer to them,” explains Jay Stoflet, Director of Retailing for Renew, “We’re happy to finally be able to bring them a more convenient location for E85 and other fuels.”
Visitors to the station will notice there are three spaces under the canopy for fuel dispensers, but only two have been installed. This wasn’t an oversight according to Stoflet. “We’re currently working on blends of bio-diesel for our consumer customers in an effort to expand our renewable alternative fuel offerings. There has been a lot of interest by diesel customers for a renewable alternative and they see our stations as the most logical place to find them. As soon as we have a system and blends that we are comfortable will be dependable for our customers, we plan on using this station as our first place to roll it out.”
Until then, drivers of flexible fuel vehicles and traditional gasoline vehicles will be able to fill up their tanks at the station.
